Community Involvement

In addition to the Community Service Program, the creation of the Community Involvement Program is evidence of the District Attorney's Office's commitment to the citizens of Limestone County. This program grows from a belief that fighting crime is not a nine-to-five endeavor and that each member of the staff can have a positive impact in their neighborhood.

In 2011, the District Attorney's Office expanded the Community Involvement Program by creating the Annual Community Needs Drive. This drive is held every year during the Athens Christmas Parade and the Office collects canned goods and toys for those in need in Limestone County.

We are very pleased to have numerous individuals and non-profit community partners in these endeavors. The District Attorney's Office is always looking for new partners to expand our community involvement within Limestone County.

Involvement Partners:

  • Annual Community Needs Drive
  • Annual Sheriff's Reserve Rodeo
  • Family Resource Center Family Fun Day
  • Hospice of Limestone County Camp Hope
  • Hospice of Limestone County Chili Challenge
  • Jessica Elkins Meningitis Foundation
  • United Way Camp United

If you would like to become a Community Involvement Partner, we look forward to talking with you by phone or by appointment at our office. Contact Program Director James E. Clem at (256) 216-1454.
